Fan Motor, Remove and Install
 Remove
|
Remove radiator – see operation "Radiator, Remove and
Install (with Air Conditioning)" or "Radiator, Remove and Install
(without Air Conditioning)".
For vehicles without air conditioning: Disconnect wiring harness
plug (1), unclip wiring harness from bracket (6) and expose.
Unscrew fastening bolts (2) and (5) and remove fan housing from
brackets (3) and (4) in direction of arrow.

Remove fastening bolts (2) and remove fan wheel.
Disconnect fan motor wiring harness plug (5).
Remove fastening bolt (3).
Remove wiring harness plug (4) with series resistor and expose
fan motor wiring harness.
Unscrew fastening bolts (1) and remove fan motor from fan
housing.

Install
Attach fan motor to fan housing.
Attach wiring harness plug with series resistor to fan housing
– clip wiring harness to fan housing.
Connect wiring harness plug for fan motor and route wiring
harness.
Attach fan wheel to fan motor.
Attach fan housing to radiator – tightening torque 5 Nm /
3.7 lbf. ft.
For vehicles without air conditioning: Assemble wiring harness
plug for auxiliary fan motor and clip wiring harness in
bracket.
Install radiator – see operation "Radiator, Remove and
Install (with Air Conditioning)" or "Radiator, Remove and Install
(without Air Conditioning)".
