Coolant Temperature Sensor, Remove and Install > < Alternator Bracket (Coolant Flange), Remove and Install

Coolant Pipe, Remove and Install

  Remove

Remove radiator – see operation "Radiator, Remove and Install (with Air Conditioning)" or "Radiator, Remove and Install (without Air Conditioning)".

Detach wiring harness plug from oil temperature sensor and unclip wiring harness (5) from bracket (4).

Detach coolant hose (8) from thermostat housing.

Detach coolant hose (2) from coolant pipe.

Unclip coolant hose (6) from bracket (7).

Remove fastening bolts (1) and (3) and remove coolant pipe.

  Install

Insert coolant pipe and attach to cylinder block and transmission casing. Coolant pipe to cylinder block – tightening torque 35 Nm / 26 lbf. ft. Coolant pipe to manual transmission – tightening torque 20 Nm / 15 lbf. ft. Coolant pipe to automatic transmission – tightening torque 35 Nm / 26 lbf. ft.

Clip thermostat housing coolant hose in bracket.

Attach compensation tank coolant hose to coolant pipe.

Attach coolant hose to thermostat housing.

Attach wiring harness plug to oil temperature sensor and clip wiring harness in bracket.

Install radiator – see operation "Radiator, Remove and Install (with Air Conditioning)" or "Radiator, Remove and Install (without Air Conditioning)".

  Inspect

Charge and bleed cooling system – see operation "Cooling System, Charge and Bleed" and "Cooling System, Check for Leaks".
