Attaching Parts – Cylinder Head, Remove and
Install
 Remove
Remove cylinder head – see operation "Cylinder Head,
Remove and Install".
Caution
Lay cylinder head aside on wooden blocks to avoid damaging the
injection nozzles, glow plugs and valves.

Remove
Detach intake manifold (1) from cylinder head.
Detach exhaust manifold (2) from cylinder head.

|
|
Remove contact rails (1) from glow plugs.
Remove 4 glow plugs (2).
Remove 4 injector nozzles (3) with KM-133-C.

|
 Clean
Clean sealing surfaces and remove gasket residues.
Note: Check or
overhaul cylinder head – see operation "Cylinder Head and
Attaching Parts, Check and Measure" and "Cylinder Head,
Overhaul".
Install
Insert injector nozzles in cylinder head with new seal rings.
Install injector nozzle with KM-133-C – tightening torque 70
Nm.
Install glow plugs in cylinder head – tightening torque
– 20 Nm / 15 lbf. ft.
Attach contact rails to glow plugs – tightening torque 4
Nm.
Attach exhaust manifold to cylinder head with new gasket and new
fastening nuts – tightening torque 20 Nm.
Attach intake manifold to cylinder head with new gasket and new
fastening nuts – tightening torque 22 Nm.
