Thermostat Housing (Engine Oil Cooling), Remove
and Install
 Remove
|
Remove right front wheel.
Remove lower engine compartment cover – see operation
"Lower Engine Compartment Cover, Remove and Install" in group
"A".
Remove oil filter (1) – see operation "Oil Filter,
Replace".
Remove fastening bolts (2) – collect escaping engine
oil.
Remove banjo bolt (3) and remove thermostat housing (engine oil
cooling) (4) – note installation position.

Install
Attach thermostat housing (engine oil cooling) with new seal
ring to oil pump – note installation position –
tightening torque 23 Nm / 17 lbf. ft.
Attach oil feed and oil return lines to thermostat housing
(engine oil cooling) with new seal rings – tightening torque
30 Nm / 22 lbf. ft.
Install oil filter – see operation "Oil Filter,
Replace".
Install lower engine compartment cover – see operation
"Lower Engine Compartment Cover, Remove and Install" in group
"A".
Install wheel, front right – tightening torque 110 Nm / 81
lbf. ft.
