V-belt / Ribbed V-belt, X 17 DTL

The alternator in the X 17 DTL is driven by a conventional V-belt. In the version with AC, the compressor is driven by an additional ribbed V-belt.

• Service

The V-belt can be tensioned and released using an adjustment bolt on the alternator bracket. The ribbed V-belt is tensioned/released via an automatic tension roller (arrow). The ribbed V-belt must be removed before the V-belt can be taken off.
