Coolant Pipe, Remove and Install
 Remove
Remove intake manifold - see operation "Intake Manifold, Remove
and Install (X 14 XE, X 16 XEL) or Intake Manifold, Remove and
Install (Z 14 XE, Z 16 XE, Z 16 YNG)" or "Intake Manifold, Remove
and Install (X 18 XE1)" or "Intake Manifold, Remove and Install (Z
18 XE, Z 18 XEL)".

Note: For greater
clarity, illustration L 2142 shows the coolant pipe on the removed
engine.

= X 14 XE, Z 14 XE, X 16 XEL, Z 16 XE, Z 16 YNG

= X 18 XE1, Z 18 XE, Z 18 XEL
|
Remove lower coolant hose (2) from radiator.
Release coolant hose (5) and detach from heater core.
Remove coolant hose (1) from coolant compensation tank, coolant
hose (3) from coolant flange and coolant hose (4) from coolant pump
connection.
Remove all requisite cable ties and clips from coolant pipe.
Remove fastening bolt (6) and remove coolant pipe.

Install
Attach coolant pipe to cylinder block or transmission –
tightening torque 60 Nm / 44.5 lbf. ft.
Attach coolant hoses – ensure correct seating.
Install intake manifold - see operation "Intake Manifold, Remove
and Install (X 14 XE, X 16 XEL) or Intake Manifold, Remove and
Install (Z 14 XE, Z 16 XE, Z 16 YNG)" or "Intake Manifold, Remove
and Install (X 18 XE1)" or "Intake Manifold, Remove and Install (Z
18 XE, Z 18 XEL)".
