Radiator (With Air Conditioning), Remove and
Install
Remove
Remove fan housing with fan motor – see operation "Fan
Motor, Remove and Install (with air conditioning)".
For models with automatic transmission: Detach oil lines (1)
from transmission – at the same time remove retaining clamps
(2).
Caution
Note installation position of oil lines.

Remove
Detach compensation tank coolant hose (1) from radiator.
Secure radiator to upper brackets (2).
Detach coolant line bracket from lower radiator bracket.

Detach lower radiator bracket (1) from front axle body –
note dissimilar brackets.
Detach condenser (2) from radiator – attach condenser to
front panel.
Release radiator and remove downwards.

If present: Remove surrounding seal (1) between radiator and
condenser.
Note: The surrounding
seal is not re-installed and must therefore be disposed.
Install
Transfer parts when replacing radiator.
For version with automatic transmission: Attach oil lines to
radiator with new seal rings – tightening torque 25 Nm / 18.5
lbf. ft.

Insert radiator in upper bracket and secure. Attach condenser to
radiator. Attach radiator with lower bracket to front axle body
– tightening torque 15 Nm / 11 lbf. ft.
Attach coolant line bracket to lower radiator bracket. Release
radiator. Attach compensation tank coolant hose to radiator.
For models with automatic transmission: Attach oil lines to
transmission (quick fittings).
Install fan housing with fan motor – see operation "Fan
Motor, Remove and Install (With Air Conditioning)".
Inspect
Charge cooling system – see operations "Cooling System,
Charge and Bleed" and "Cooling System, Check for Leaks".
For version with automatic transmission: check oil level –
see operation "Transmission Oil Level, Check and Correct" in group
"K".
