Complaint: Noises or Vibrations Bearing noises caused by vibrations of the pulley at idle. Note: Only Astra G is affected
Cause: This problem is mainly caused by belt vibration at driving run between gear camshaft outlet and idler pulley outlet.
Production Solution: As of engine-no. 02JW5600 (Bochum) and 20J53068 (Szentgotthard) modified parts are introduced in production.
Remedy:
Special Part: No
Up to engine-no: 20C41690 or 02HL5117, please replace the small idler pulley (exhaust side) in combination with NTA mount. As of engine-no: 20C41691 or 02HL5118 replace only the idler pulley. Remove idler pulley (exhaust side) see "Remove and install idler pulley" in Service-Instruction, unit "J", Astra-G.
