Automatic Transmission  

The Astra-G is available with two new automatic transmissions (AF 13-II / AF 17).  

The allocation of automatic transmission with transmission control units to the relevant engines is shown in the following table.

2)  The AF 20 automatic transmission with neutral shifting has been taken over from the Vectra-B.  

In vehicles with the anti-lock brake system, the odometer signal is provided by the ABS wheel sensors. In vehicles without ABS, the transmission control unit receives the speed signal from the transmission output speed sensor.  

The fluid cooling lines for the AF 13-II, AF 17 and AF 20 automatic transmission are equipped with quick fittings on the transmission side.
