Fluid Pressure, Check (AF 20/AF 22) (Mechanical) > < Transmission Fluid Level, Check and Correct (AF 13-II/AF 17/AF 20/AF 22)

Fluid Pressure, Check AF13-II/17 (Mechanical)

Caution

Rule out operator error. For full load check, engage parking brake and depress service brake. To avoid overheating at full load, do not check for longer than 5 seconds. Allow pauses for cooling.

Only main pressure is checked.

  Remove

Detach upper fluid cooler line from transmission at quick fitting – place pan underneath and close off apertures with KM-924.

Remove plug (3).

  Install

Install Fluid Pressure Gauge KM-498-B (2) with Adapter KM-580 (1).

Install upper fluid cooler line on transmission.

Object Number: 2397670  Size: DEFAULT

  Inspect

Check level of transmission fluid – see operation "Transmission Fluid Level, Check and Correct (AF 13-II/AF 17/AF 20/AF 22)".

Check main pressure. Test values – see Checking Procedure "AF 13-II/AF 17/AF 20/AF 22 Automatic 4-Speed Transmission Astra-G ".

  Remove

Detach upper fluid cooler line from transmission at quick fitting – place pan underneath and close off apertures with KM-924.

Remove KM-498-B and KM-580.

  Install

Install plug with new seal on transmission – tightening torque 8 Nm / 6 lbf. ft.

Install upper fluid cooler line on transmission.

  Inspect

Check level of transmission fluid – see operation "Transmission Fluid Level, Check and Correct (AF 13-II/AF 17/AF 20/AF 22)".
