Immobiliser Control Unit, Remove and Install

 

Vehicles:

Astra-G

 

Condition:

Once removed, immobiliser control units without anti-theft plate may only be re-installed with this unit fitted.

 

Note:

Only use the anti-theft plate in conjunction with control units which have lugs within the loop antenna

 

 

Immobiliser Control Unit, Remove and Install

 

Removal:

 

1.       Remove signal switch panelling, remove           ignition key (3)
          and ignition lock cover (2).

2.    Remove lock cylinder (4).

3.    Detach immobiliser control unit (1) from ignition lock housing (5).

4.    Release wiring harness plug and disconnect.

 

Installation:

 

5.    Connect wiring harness plug.

6.    Slide anti-theft plate (6) over immobiliser control unit (arrow).

7.    Slide immobiliser control unit onto ignition lock housing.

8.    Install lock cylinder.

9.    Install signal switch panel, insert ignition lock cover.

 

Important:

The security code must be reset with TECH2 before removing the immobiliser control unit - please refer to the corresponding Checking Procedures.

                                      +: Ignition lock cylinder, signal switch panelling, R+R

                                      Anti-theft plate - Replace

 

                                      In addition:

                           001     Programme control unit (with TECH2)                                                0.2 hr

 

Important:

The specified time allowances do not include the time allowance for the vehicle set-up of 0.2 hrs.

 

For reimbursement of the vehicle set-up time of 0.2 hrs in warranty claims, enter the authorisation code ‘T’ and increase the main operation time by 0.2 hrs.

The authorisation code may only be used once per work order. It may only be used more than once if the work place and workteam are changed at the same time.
