Front member (impact absorber) bracket, remove and install > < Replace wing bracket

Replace front member (impact absorber)

  Remove

1.   Remove front panelling
2.   Detach headlamps
3.   Detach centre guide rails
•   Drill away 5x blind rivet (arrow)
Object Number: 3446844 Size: DEFAULT


4.   Detach impact absorber wiring harness
•   Release 5x cable tie
5.   Detach impact absorber (3)
•   Unscrew windscreen washer reserve tank bolt (2)
•   Unscrew 4x nut and 4x bolt (1)

  Install

6.   Seal cavity
Note:   Observe protective wax corrosion protection measures.
7.   Attach impact absorber
Note:   Use new nuts.
•   Insert 4x bolt and tighten 4x nut 20 Nm
•   Tighten windscreen washer reserve tank bolt
8.   Attach impact absorber wiring harness
Note:   Make sure that it is correctly routed.
•   Fasten 5x cable tie.
9.   Attach centre guide rails
•   Rivet on 5x blind rivet
10.   Attach headlamp
11.   Attach front panelling
