Astra H Maintenance: Tailgate Spacer Description and Function

Tailgate spacer

To simplify painting operations of the tailgate or roof, spacers BO-48668-1 and BO-48668-2 have been introduced.

This makes it possible to paint a tailgate on the vehicle. There is no need to remove the tailgate and separate the wiring harness, even when painting the roof. Furthermore it is substantially easier to mask off adjacent parts because of the resulting gaps.
