Replace sash window of front door - L48 / L35 /
L69 / L70
Remove
1. |
Detach front door inner panelling
|
|
2. |
Detach water vapour barrier
• |
Release 2x loom of cables clips with the special tool KM-596-A (2)
|
• |
Detach 2x front door retainer base inner panelling (1)
|
|
|
4. |
Detach inner channel strip
• |
Pull channel strip carefully from behind beginning at the
top
|
|
|
|
5. |
Detach outer channel strip
• |
Remove channel strip carefully from behind beginning from the
top and take out from the rear-view mirror backwards
|
|
|
|
6. |
Bore out rear guide rail
|
|
|
8. |
Dispose of remains of rivets
|
|
9. |
Detach front door sash window
|
10. |
Remove sash window
Note: Move the window
to the lowest position and remove from the guide (3)
|
|
Install

Positioning front door sash window
|
12. |
Fasten front door sash window
• |
Tighten 2x bolts
– |
Guide sash window upwards and place evenly in rubber seal
|
|
|
13. |
Install rear front door guide rail
• |
Attach 2x rivet
Note: Observe
installation direction
– |
Position in lower guide rail
|
|
|
14. |
Attach outer shaft strip
|
15. |
Attach inner shaft strip
|
16. |
Attach water vapour barrier
Note: Damaged water
vapour barrier must be replaced
• |
Apply adhesive tape to door frame according to the shaded areas
shown.

• |
Cut foil to size
Note: Use removed foil
and door contours as a template
|
• |
Provide cut-outs for inside handle with bearing supports and,
if available, manual window actuation
|
• |
Affix water vapour barrier without creases
|
• |
Attach 2x loom of cables
|
• |
Attach 2x front door retainer base inner panelling
|
|
