Replace carpet - complete (with adjustable rear seats) - L35

  Remove

1.   Disconnect battery
2.   Wait 1 minute for airbag to deactivate
3.   Detach belt securing panel - driver's side
•   Unclip panel upwards (1)
4.   Detach belt securing panel - passenger side
•   Unclip panel upwards (1)
5.   Attach seat belt at front seat - driver's side
•   Unscrew bolt (2)
6.   Attach seat belt at front seat - passenger's side
•   Unscrew bolt (2)

7.   Detach driver's side front seat
•   Unscrew 2x bolt (1)
8.   Detach passenger side front seat
•   Unscrew 2x bolt (1)
9.   Remove driver's side front seat
•   Remove from front guide
•   Release and disconnect compact connector
10.   Remove passenger's side front seat
•   Remove from front guide
•   Release and disconnect compact connector

11.   Detach footwell instrument panel padding left and right
•   Unscrew 2x screws on driver's side and remove footwell panelling from bracket
•   Unscrew 2x screws on passenger's side and remove footwell panelling from bracket

12.   Detach central console
13.   Fold down rear seat backrest, right
14.   Fold down rear seat backrest, left
15.   Remove sill strip completely - both sides
•   Loosen 5x clips
•   Remove inner panelling sill upwards

16.   Detach lower C-pillar panel, both sides
•   Unclip 4x clips
– Pull out panelling in lower area of the B-pillar cover

17.   Remove yaw sensor (2)
•   Unscrew 2x nuts (arrows)
•   Disconnect wiring harness plug (1)
18.   Remove yaw sensor retaining plate
•   Unscrew 2x nut (1)

19.   Remove carpet - completely
•   Open quick release fastener
•   Remove carpet

  Install

20.   Install carpet - completely
Note:   2nd mechanic required!
•   Insert carpet
•   Close quick release fastener
21.   Install yaw sensor retaining plate
•   Tighten 2x nuts
22.   Install yaw sensor
•   Tighten 2x nuts
•   Connect wiring harness plug
23.   Install lower C-pillar inner panelling - left side
•   Clip in 4x clips
– Place panelling in lower area of the B-pillar cover
24.   Install lower C-pillar inner panelling - right side
•   Clip in 4x clips
– Place panelling in lower area of the B-pillar cover
25.   Fold down rear seat backrest, right
26.   Fold down rear seat backrest, left
27.   Install centre console
28.   Attach footwell instrument panel padding left and right
•   Tighten 2x bolts driver's side
•   Tighten 2x bolts passenger's side
29.   Install sill strip completely - both sides
•   Clip in 5x clips
30.   Insert driver's side front seat
•   Connect and latch compact connector
•   Insert seat in front guide
31.   Fasten driver's side front seat
•   Tighten 2x bolt 35 Nm
Note:   Use screw locking compound
32.   Attach seat belt driver's side
•   Tighten bolt 20 Nm
Note:   Use screw locking compound
33.   Insert driver's side front seat panel
•   Place front seat in original position
34.   Insert front seat - passenger side
•   Connect and latch compact connector
•   Insert seat in front guide
35.   Fasten passenger side - front seat
•   Tighten 2x bolt 35 Nm
Note:   Use screw locking compound
36.   Attach seat belt on passenger's side
•   Tighten bolt 20 Nm
Note:   Use screw locking compound
37.   Insert passenger's side front seat panel
•   Place front seat in original position
38.   Install rear bench seat
•   Insert rear seat cushion and position
39.   Connect battery
40.   Program volatile memories
