Replace front seat pad - L08 / L35 / L48 / L67 / L69 / L70 > < Front seat backrest, replace (OPC sports seat )

Replace seat occupancy detection mat

  Remove

1.   Disconnect battery
2.   Wait 1 minute for airbag to deactivate
3.   Detach front seat belt fastening panel
•   Unclip panel upwards (1)
4.   Detach seat belt from front seat
•   Unscrew bolt (2)

5.   Detach driver's seat, rear
•   Unscrew 2x bolt (1)
6.   Remove front seat
•   Remove from front guide
•   Release and disconnect compact connector

7.   Detach height adjuster panel
•   Unclip with a plastic wedge
8.   Detach height adjuster
•   Unscrew 2x bolt (1) and remove lever

9.   Remove rear seat backrest aduster wheel
•   Unclip with a plastic wedge

10.   Detach outer panelling
•   Unscrew 2x bolt (1, 3)
•   Remove front of panelling from guide (2)

11.   Remove interior panelling
•   Unscrew bolt (1)
•   Remove panelling

12.   Release front seat backrest upholstery covering
•   Detach panelling all round (I)
•   Release 2x clamp (II)

13.   Detach side airbag
•   Unscrew 3x nuts (1)
•   Release and disconnect wiring harness plug

14.   Detach side airbag wiring harness
•   Unclip 2x clips
15.   If present, remove seat heating wiring harness
•   Disconnect and uncover wiring harness plug (arrows)
•   Detach 3x cable tie (1)

16.   Remove front seat backrest
•   Unscrew 4x bolt (1, 2)
•   Remove front seat backrest

17.   If present, expose seat heating cable
•   Detach 5x cable ties (1)
•   Unclip 2x wiring harness
•   Unclip wiring harness plug from compact plug
•   Expose wiring harness from grooved tube (2)
•   Expose seat heating wiring harness

18.   Detach seat frame
•   Unscrew 4x screw (arrows)

19.   Remove upholstery covering
•   Detach upholstery covering all the way round
•   Detach 16x upholstery clamps
•   Remove upholstery covering

20.   Remove upholstery padding

  Install

21.   Attach upholstery padding
22.   Attach upholstery covering
•   Put on upholstery covering
•   Attach 16x upholstery clamps
•   Fasten upholstery covering all the way round
23.   Attach seat frame
•   Tighten 4x bolt
24.   Route seat heating cable
•   Route seat heating wiring harness
•   Insert wiring harness into grooved tube
•   Clip wiring harness plug into compact plug
•   Clip in 2x wiring harness
•   Attach 5x cable ties
25.   Install front seat backrest
•   Tighten 4x bolts 35 Nm
26.   Attach seat heater wiring harness
•   Connect wiring harness plug
•   Attach 3x cable ties
27.   Attach side airbag wiring harness
•   Clip in 2x clips
28.   Attach side airbag
•   Connect and latch wiring harness plug
Note:   Ensure correct wiring harness routing.
•   Tighten 3x nuts 5 Nm
29.   Front seat back upholstery covering, attach
•   Refit 2x clamp
•   Insert upholstery covering into guide all round
30.   Attach inner panel
•   Insert panel
•   Tighten the bolt
31.   Attach outer panel
•   Insert panel
•   Tighten 2x bolts
32.   Attach rear seat backrest star handle
•   Attach adjusting wheel
33.   Install height adjuster
•   Tighten 2x bolts
34.   Install height adjuster panel
•   Clip in panel
35.   Install front seat
•   Connect wiring harness plug
•   Insert into front guide
36.   Attach front seat, rear
•   Tighten 2x bolt 35 Nm
37.   Attach front seat seat belt
•   Tighten bolt 20 Nm
Note:   Use screw locking compound
38.   Insert front seat belt securing panel
•   Place front seat in original position
39.   Connect battery
40.   Program volatile memories
