Replace cover for load compartment, side - L48

  Remove

1.   Remove rear seat cushion
•   Unlock at the loop (1) and hang off in rear area (arrow)
•   Remove rear seat upwards

2.   Remove rear seat backrest
•   Unscrew 3x bolts at the front
– Remove 3x belt buckles
•   Fold down rear seat backrest
•   Unscrew 3x bolts at the back

3.   Remove rear seat backrest
•   Remove rear seat backrest from side guide
Note:   2nd mechanic required

4.   Detach lower C-pillar panel
•   Unclip 3x clips (arrows) and remove
Object Number: 3446777 Size: DEFAULT


5.   Detach seat belt on lower C-pillar
•   Unscrew bolt
6.   Remove upper C-pillar panelling
•   Unclip panel (1)
•   Unclip C-pillar panelling
– Unclip 5x clip
•   Unthread belt
•   Remove C-pillar panelling

7.   Detach inner panelling of lower rear end panel
8.   Remove rear quarter panel inner panelling
•   Unscrew 3x bolt (1)
•   Disconnect wiring harness plug.
•   Loosen 3x clips
•   Remove inner panelling

9.   Detach cover for load compartment
•   Unclip 8x clip
– Remove cover for load compartment
Object Number: 8231323 Size: DEFAULT


  Install

10.   Attach cover for load compartment
•   Clip in 8x clips
11.   Install rear quarter panel inner panelling
•   Connect wiring harness plug
•   Clip in 3x clips
•   Tighten 3x bolt
12.   Install inner panelling for lower rear end panel
13.   Install C-pillar panelling
•   Thread in belt
•   Clip in C-pillar panelling
•   Clip in panel
14.   attach seat belt on lower C-pillar
•   Tighten bolt 35 Nm
Note:   Use screw locking compound
15.   Attach lower C-pillar panel
•   Clip in 3x clips
16.   Insert rear seat backrest
•   Insert rear seat backrest into side guide
Note:   2nd mechanic required
17.   Install rear seat backrest
•   Tighten 3x rear bolts
•   Fold down rear seat backrest
•   Tighten 3x front screws with belt buckle
Note:   Use screw locking compound
18.   Install rear seat cushions
•   Insert rear seat cushion and position
