Replace glass cover (fixed) for sunroof > < Glass Sunroof - Replace Entirely - L48

Replace glass sunroof cover – L35 / L48

  Remove

1.   Open sun protection
2.   Detach front panelling
•   Unclip panelling (1) at back (3) and remove from bracket, front (2)

3.   Assemble sunroof rear
4.   Detach sunroof rear
•   Unscrew 4x bolt
Note:   Ensure position disk does not drop off
5.   Sunroof half open
6.   Detach front glass cover
•   Unscrew 2x bolt
Note:   Ensure position disk does not drop off!

7.   Remove glass cover

  Install

8.   Insert glass cover
•   Align and insert glass cover on one side

9.   Attach front glass cover
•   Insert 2x long position glass panes (1)
•   Screw in 2x screws (3) with washers (2)
Note:   Position disk may not rotate, since it can cause scratches in the rear glass cover.
10.   Close sun roof until the rear part is aligned
11.   Install sunroof rear
•   Insert 4x long position glass panes
•   Screw in 4x screws with washers
Note:   Position disk may not rotate, since it can cause scratches in the rear glass cover.

12.   Close sunroof
•   Check gap 1.5 - 2 mm

13.   Tighten sunroof, rear
•   Press seal lightly down (arrow)
– Tighten 4x bolt 4 Nm

14.   Sunroof half open
15.   Tighten sunroof front
•   Tighten 2x bolt 4 Nm
16.   Attach front panelling
•   Insert and clip in panelling
17.   Close sunroof
18.   Close sun protection
19.   Close front door.
