Yes: No:
T003

Check: Interruption of Voltage Supply Circuit

  • Ignition OFF
  • Remove electrical component from socket:
    K3_X131 Relay - Heated Back Window
  • Measure voltage between the following terminals:
    K3_X131 Relay - Heated Back Window
    Socket Terminal 30, 86
    &
    Ground

greater than 11 V

Check: Interruption of Voltage Supply Circuit

  • Connect fused jumper wire to:
    K3_X131 Relay - Heated Back Window
    Socket Terminal 87
    &
    Battery voltage

Is the following component switched on?

R22 Heated Back Window

Yes: No:

Check: Interruption of Signal Circuit

  • Disconnect wiring harness connector from:
    R22 Heated Back Window
    (Wiring Harness Connector BK )
  • Connect test lamp ( 10 W ) and multimeter in parallel and measure voltage between the following terminals:
    R22 Heated Back Window
    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) wiring colour BK
    &
    Ground

Note:

Wiring colours: BG=Beige, BK=Black, BN=Brown, BU=Blue, GN=Green, GY=Grey, OC=Ochre, OG=Orange, PK=Pink, PU=Purple, RD=Red, VT=Violet, WH=White, YE=Yellow,
L=Light, D=Dark

Check: Circuit Interruption of Ground Circuit

  • Connect wiring harness connector to:
    R22 Heated Back Window
    (Wiring Harness Connector BK )
  • Disconnect wiring harness connector from:
    R22 Heated Back Window
    (Wiring Harness Connector BN )
  • Connect test light to:
    R22 Heated Back Window
    Wiring harness connector (component side) wiring colour BN
    &
    Ground

Important:

Reset the concerned control unit with the diagnostic tester before replacing it. In order to do that, call up the "RESET" function from the PROGRAMMING menu of the current system on the diagnostic tester.

Note:

The replacement of the components must be done in the listed order.

The system must be checked for proper operation after every replacement.
