The following test steps must be performed in the given order. If a fault is found in one test step, the subsequent test steps can be skipped.
Trouble Codes
- If any trouble code except trouble code P1814 is stored, continue the troubleshooting as follows:
- With trouble code P1814 recognised:
Function Checks
- Ignition OFF
- Wait time: minimum 10 s
- Delete trouble codes
- Read and record again trouble codes including status after the test drive.
- With trouble code P1814 recognised:
After successful test/fault repair proceed to the next test step
Note:
If the control unit ECM recognises an invalid signal via CAN-Bus, one or more of the trouble codes P1814 are stored. These trouble codes must be seen as an effect of a detected fault in another Functional System.
