Check: Short to Voltage/Ground/Interruption of Signal Circuit
  • Ignition OFF
  • Disconnect wiring harness connector from:
    B1_A14 Sensor - Outlet Temperature Footwell
  • Ignition ON
  • Measure voltage between the following terminals:
    B1_A14 Sensor - Outlet Temperature Footwell
    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal A
    &
    Ground

4.8 ... 5.2 V

Check: Component
  • Select the following Functional System on the diagnostic tester:
    ECC/SAC (Electronic Climate Control)
  • Diagnostic Tester Data List Parameter
    Footwell Air Outlet Temperature

Check: Short to Voltage/Interruption of Signal Circuit
  • Ignition OFF
  • Connect fused jumper wire to:
    B1_A14 Sensor - Outlet Temperature Footwell
    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal A
    &
    B1_A14 Sensor - Outlet Temperature Footwell
    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal B
  • Ignition ON
  • Diagnostic Tester Data List Parameter
    Footwell Air Outlet Temperature

    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal A

  • Circuit interruption between:
    A1_A14 Control Unit - Climate Control
    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal 23 (XC43)
    &
    B1_A14 Sensor - Outlet Temperature Footwell
    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal B

or

  • Defective component:
    A1_A14 Control Unit - Climate Control

Important:

Reset the concerned control unit with the diagnostic tester before replacing it. In order to do that, call up the "RESET" function from the PROGRAMMING menu of the current system on the diagnostic tester.
E003 Result: Defective Component
  • Defective component:
    A1_A14 Control Unit - Climate Control

Important:

    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal 8 (XC43)

    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal A

  • Defective component:
    A1_A14 Control Unit - Climate Control

Important:
