Check: Diagnostic Trouble Code stored

  • Ignition OFF
  • Wait time: minimum 120 s
  • Delete trouble codes
  • Replace the following component by a new one:
    A40 Ignition Coil - Direct Ignition
  • Read and record again trouble codes including status after the test drive.

Check if the following component is an unmodified, genuine OEM part::

  • Defective component:
    A84 Control Unit - Engine

Important:

Reset the concerned control unit with the diagnostic tester before replacing it. In order to do that, call up the "RESET" function from the PROGRAMMING menu of the current system on the diagnostic tester.

E002 Result: Defective Component
  • Defective component:
    A40 Ignition Coil - Direct Ignition
E003 Result: Defective Component
  • Defective component:
    The control unit which has set the trouble code (The control unit is displayed by the TECH 2).
