Drum Brake, Adjust
Note: Adjustment of
drum brake is only necessary after dismantling of brake,
replacement of brake drum or replacement of brake shoe because of
its automatic adjustment. Ensure the parking brake lever has been
released before adjustment. If there is an uneven braking effect on
the wheels, the brake drum components must be checked and replaced
if necessary.
 Adjust

Adjustment unit (arrow) must be screwed together completely.
The pinion must not lock at the end of the adjustment unit.

Activate footbrake at least 20 times
Note: Until the
adjusting lever can no longer be heard to jump, so that the brake
shoes are in contact with the brake drum.

After adjusting the brake drum: Adjust parking brake 
|
| 8. |
Make short running-in journey of approx. 300 m at low speed
with parking brake slightly applied.
