Piston Rings, Replace
 Remove

Remove piston with con-rod
|
| 2. |
Remove 3x piston ring with piston ring pliers (1)

Remove spiral-type expander of the oil scraper ring out of
piston ring groove

Clean ring grooves
Note: Remove carbonised
oil residue in the piston ring groove with split and ground piston
ring
|
Measure
| 4. |
Measure joint clearance
| • |
Insert new piston rings into cylinder
|
| • |
Measure joint clearance with feeler gauge
|
