con-rod bearing caps and con-rods during assembly and ensure the
mating surfaces are absolutely clean

Fit con-rod bearing cap (3) with con-rod bearing shells (2) to
con-rod (1)
Note: The old bolts can
be re-used for checking

Tighten 2x bolt 13 Nm + 60° +
15°

The average con-rod bearing diameter is measured with an
internal measuring device at the points I, Ii and III and
determined mathematically. Formula and example of calculation of
the average con-rod bearing diameter:
