Flywheel, Remove and Install > < Piston with Con-rod, Remove and Install

Flywheel, Remove and Install

  Remove

1.   Remove transmission
2.   Remove clutch pressure plate LUREF_1.gif
3.   Remove flywheel (1)
Note:   KM-6263 remains attached to the engine. To provide a clearer illustration, KM-6263 is not shown here
•   Lock with KM-652 (2)
•   Unscrew 6x bolts (3)
4.   Check rear crankshaft seal ring, flywheel and starter crown gear for damage or wear - replace if necessary
5.   Clean contact surfaces on crankshaft and flywheel

  Install

6.   Fit flywheel
•   Place flywheel (1) on crankshaft and align
•   Lock with KM-652 (2)
•   Clean 6x threads
•   Tighten 6x bolt (3) 35 Nm + 30° + 15°
Use new bolts
Apply screw locking compound

7.   Remove KM-652
8.   Install clutch pressure plate LUREF_1.gif
9.   Install transmission
