Oil Pump, Remove and Install
Remove
1. |
Remove upper part of oil pan
|
2. |
Remove rear toothed belt cover
|
3. |
Disconnect wiring harness plug from oil pressure switch
|
4. |
Remove oil filter with KM-726-A
(1)
Note: Place collecting
basin underneath.
|
|
|
5. |
Detach banjo bolt for heat exchanger oil lines (1) from
temperature regulator housing (heat exchanger)
|
6. |
Detach threaded connection for oil filter (2) with KM-943 from temperature regulator housing (heat
exchanger)
|
7. |
Detach temperature regulator housing (heat exchanger) from oil
pump using Allen key
|
|
|
8. |
Remove friction washer
Note: Heat with hot air
blower if necessary
|
9. |
Detach oil pump (1) from cylinder block
|
10. |
Edge seal ring out of oil pump
|
11. |
Clean sealing surfaces and remove gasket remnants.
|
|
|
Install
12. |
Attach oil pump to cylinder block with new gasket 8 Nm
|
13. |
Insert new seal ring in oil pump with KM-693-A
Note: Use bolt and
washer from toothed belt drive gear
|
14. |
Install friction washer
|
15. |
Attach temperature regulator housing (heat exchanger) to oil
pump with new seal ring (1) 23 Nm
|
Important: Tighten temperature
regulator housing (heat exchanger) and oil lines evenly –
ensure that oil lines are not installed under tension.

16. |
Attach heat exchanger oil lines to temperature regulator
housing (heat exchanger) with new seal rings 30 Nm
|
17. |
Attach oil filter to oil pump 15
Nm
Note: Coat seal ring of
new oil filter with thin layer of engine oil
|

|
18. |
Connect wiring harness plug to oil pressure switch.
|
19. |
Install rear toothed belt cover
|
20. |
Install upper part of oil pan
|
|
