Replace chain tensioner of balance shaft timing chain > < Timing, Adjust

Replace guide rail (primary chain)

  Remove

1.   Remove timing case
2.   Loosen guide rail of camshaft timing chain
•   Unscrew closure bolt (1)
•   Unscrew upper bolt (2)
Object Number: 2405266 Size: DEFAULT


3.   Remove guide rail of camshaft timing chain (1)
•   Unscrew lower bolt (2)
Object Number: 2405278 Size: DEFAULT


  Install

4.   Install guide rail of camshaft timing chain
•   Tighten 2x bolt 10 Nm
5.   Tighten guide rail sealing plug of camshaft timing chain 65 Nm
•   Replace sealing ring
6.   Install timing case 1701543
