The following test steps must be performed in the given order. If a fault is found in one test step, the subsequent test steps can be skipped.
Programming
- Select the following Functional System on the diagnostic tester:
Electronic Diesel Injection System DECE1C, A 17 DTJ, A 17 DTR, Z 17 DTJ, Z 17 DTR
- Perform the following programming:
- If the programming fails, perform the following test step:
Fuses
- Check the following fuses for proper operation:
FE21 Fuse
- If fuse FE21 is defective:
Function Checks
- Connect wiring harness connector to:
B56 Sensor - Oxygen, Mixture Control, Heated
- Repeat programming
- If the programming fails, perform the following test step:
After successful test/fault repair proceed to the next test step
