Replace pre-heating system control unit

  Remove

1.   Open bonnet
2.   Disconnect battery
•   Detach ground connection from ground terminal
– Slacken nut
3.   Remove battery
•   Detach positive terminal (3) from positive pole
– Slacken nut
•   Remove bracket 1)
– Unscrew bolt (2)

4.   Remove pre-glow system control unit (1)
•   Pull pre-heating system control unit out of bracket in direction of arrow
•   Disconnect wiring harness connector.

  Install

5.   Install pre-glow system control unit
•   Fix wiring harness plug
•   Insert pre-heating system control unit into bracket
6.   Install battery
•   Install bracket
– Tighten bolt 7 Nm
•   Attach positive connection to positive terminal
– Tighten nut
7.   Connect battery
•   Attach ground connection to ground terminal
– Tighten nut
8.   Program volatile memories
9.   Close bonnet
