One Injector, Replace > < Replace oil leak line

Accumulator, Remove and Install

Important:   When working on the fuel system it is essential to pay attention to cleanliness as even the smallest dirt particles can lead to faults in engine operation or in the fuel system. Open fuel connections must be sealed with appropriate plugs from the Opel Parts Catalogue (catalogue number: 45 06 154 / part number: 9201697). Sealing plugs are only intended to be used once.

  Remove

1.   Open bonnet
2.   Disconnect battery
•   Detach earth connection from earth terminal
Slacken nut
3.   Remove engine cover (1)
•   Pull off engine cover
Note:   Re-attach any retaining rubbers (2) to the engine cover which may have become detached

Important:   After detaching the high pressure lines, seal off injector and pressure chamber openings with protective caps 1)
4.   Remove 4x high pressure line (1)
Important:   When releasing the retaining nut, counterhold with open-ended wrench against the injector.
•   Release 8x retaining nut

Important:   After detaching the high pressure lines, seal the apertures of the injectors and the pressure chamber with protective caps 1)  
5.   Remove high pressure line (1)
Important:   When releasing the retaining nut on the high pressure pump, counterhold with open-ended wrench.
•   Release 2x retaining nut

6.   Remove accumulator (1)
•   Detach return line (2)
Release clamp
•   Disconnect 2x wiring harness plugs
•   Unscrew 2x bolts (3)
Object Number: 8125480  Size: DEFAULT


  Install

7.   Fit accumulator
•   Tighten 2x bolt 25 Nm
•   Attach return line
Fasten clamp
•   Connect 2x wiring harness plugs
Important:   When fastening the retaining nut, counterhold against the high pressure pump with an open-ended wrench. Pressure lines may only be installed once.
8.   Install new high pressure line from the high pressure pump to the pressure chamber
•   Tighten retaining nut (M12) 25 Nm
•   Tighten union nut (M14) 23 Nm
Important:   When fastening the retaining nut counterhold against the injector with an open-ended wrench. Pressure lines may only be installed once.
9.   Install 4x new high pressure line, pressure chamber to injectors
•   Tighten 4x retaining nut (M12) 25 Nm
•   Tighten 4x retaining nut (M14) 23 Nm
10.   Connect battery
•   Attach ground connection to ground terminal
Tighten nut
11.   Fuel System, Check for Leaks
Important:   Wear protective goggles and protective gloves.
•   Start engine.
Note:   Check fuel system for escaping fuel.
12.   Install engine cover
•   Clip in 4x
13.   Program volatile memories
14.   Close bonnet
