Work Order Description

Nominal Value

Check: Fuel Reserve

• Check fuel reserve
• Check fuel tank for correct fuel sort content

Note:

The fuel reserve must be greater than 6 L

Actuator Test

Actuator Tests

• Select the following Functional System on the diagnostic tester:
  Motronic 7.6.1, Z 20 LEH, Z 20 LEL, Z 20 LER
• Select and enable diagnostic tester actuator test:
  

After successful test/fault repair proceed to the next test step

Check: Fuel Pressure

• Ignition OFF
• Connect fuel pressure manometer KM-J-34730-91 to fuel feed line
• Ignition ON

Actuator Tests

• Select the following Functional System on the diagnostic tester:
  Motronic 7.6.1, Z 20 LEH, Z 20 LEL, Z 20 LER
• Select and enable diagnostic tester actuator test:
  Actuator Test Fuel Pump Relay

Pressure value okay?

3800 hPa ( 3.8 bar )

Check: Fuel Pipes and Fuel Filter

• Check the following component for proper operation:
  Fuel pipes and fuel filter

Note:

Plugging, leakage or air in fuel system
