  • Verify programming of the control unit:
    SPS Programming

Note:

Compare the SPS software number in the control unit with the version on TIS2000 . If there is a newer version on TIS2000 , perform the SPS programming.

Cause Of Fault

E001 Result: Programming
  • Previous programming was faulty

or

  • If programming/nominal value is okay and system is still faulty the following component is defective:
    A84 Control Unit - Engine

Important:

Reset the concerned control unit with the diagnostic tester before replacing it. In order to do that, call up the "RESET" function from the PROGRAMMING menu of the current system on the diagnostic tester.

E002 Result: Defective Component

Important:

Reset the concerned control unit with the diagnostic tester before replacing it. In order to do that, call up the "RESET" function from the PROGRAMMING menu of the current system on the diagnostic tester.

Note:

If all remaining diagnostic tests are passed and there are no additional customer complaints, the control unit should only be replaced in agreement with the customer.

E003 Result: Programming
  • Perform service programming (SPS) to download the latest version of control unit software into the control unit.
