Preliminary Procedures

1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to . Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
2. Open the front compartment insulator service opening.

Crankshaft Position Sensor Bolt (Qty: 1)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)

Crankshaft Position Sensor

Procedure

1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
2. After replacement of the crankshaft position sensor, use a scan tool to perform the appropriate reset function. Refer to Engine Control Module Programming and Setup
