Glow Plug Replacement

Component Name

Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to . Engine Sight Shield Replacement

Disconnect the electrical connector at each of the glow plugs.

Clean around each of the glow plugs.

Glow Plug (Qty: 4)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Caution: Use care when disconnecting the glow plug electrical connector. Use of excessive force may damage the electrical connector.

Be sure not to interchange the electrical connectors.

Assemble the electrical connectors in the same order.

Carefully assemble with the exact torque value.

Use EN-48390remover/installer for glow plugs without pressure sensor.

Use EN-6104remover/installer for glow plugs with pressure sensor.

Tighten
8 N·m (71 lb in)

•	EN-48390 Remover/Installer Glow Plugs 9 mm

•	EN-6104 Remover/Installer Glow Plugs 12 mm
