Camshaft Cover Replacement (1.6L LLU)

Removal Procedure

1. Open the hood.

2. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation pipe assembly (1) from the camshaft cover (2) and from the positive crankcase ventilation connector (3).
3. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation pipe assembly (1) from the air cleaner outlet rear duct (4).
4. Remove the ignition coil. Refer to Ignition Coil Removal .

5. Remove the 11 bolts (2, 3).
6. Remove the camshaft cover (1).

Installation Procedure

1. Install the camshaft cover (1).
  Insert a NEW gasket in the camshaft cover.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution .
2. Install the 11 bolts (2, 3) and tighten to 8 N·m (71 lb in) .

3. Install the positive crankcase ventilation pipe assembly (1) to the camshaft cover (2) and to the positive crankcase ventilation connector (3).
4. Install the positive crankcase ventilation pipe assembly (1) to the air cleaner outlet rear duct (4).
5. Install the ignition coil. Refer to Ignition Coil Removal .
6. Close the hood.
