Exhaust Manifold Installation (1.7L Diesel LPL, LPV and
LUB)

Clean the sealing
surfaces. |
| 2. |
Install a NEW exhaust manifold
gasket (1). |
| 3. |
Install the exhaust manifold
along with the turbocharger (2). |
| 4. |
Loosely install the 7 exhaust
manifold nuts (3) and the washers. |
| 5. |
Loosely install the 2 exhaust
manifold bolts (4) and the washers. |
| 6. |
Tighten the exhaust manifold
nuts and the exhaust manifold bolts in the tightening sequence as
shown to 69 N·m (51 lb ft) . |
| 7. |
Connect the turbocharger oil
return hose to the engine and install the clamp (1). |
| 8. |
Install the turbocharger oil
feed pipe hollow screw (2). Use NEW copper seal rings (3) and
(4). |
| 9. |
Tighten the turbocharger oil
feed pipe hollow screw to 21 N·m (16 lb ft)
