Manual Transmission 4.1.1 Transmission Fluid

In all vehicles with front wheel drive, a new Transmission Fluid, part no. 90540 998 (1 litre), catalogue no. 19 40 764, is used. This transmission fluid:

·     improved cold shifting;

·     is more resistant to higher thermal stress and

·     is more environmentally compatible (chlorine - free).

·    Service

This new transmission fluid can also be used retrospectively for all manual transmissions in front wheel drive vehicles.
