Control Unit, Remove and Install
 Remove

Remove moulded headlining (models F 08, F 08 & W5L, F 68)
Note: For vehicles with
curtain airbag: remove curtain airbag

Detach water drain hoses (1, 2) from plenum chamber.

| 3. |
Remove actuation unit
Note: A second mechanic
is required for removal and installation of the actuation unit.

Remove actuation unit from vehicle – tailgate opening
|
|
|
Install
| 4. |
Install actuation unit
| • |
Connect water drain hoses
|
|
| 5. |
Install moulded headlining (models F 08, F 08 & W5L, F 68)
Note: For vehicles with
curtain airbag: install curtain airbag

Connect water drain hoses
|

Carry out function check
