Brake Servo, Remove and Install – RHD

Remove
1. |
Remove water deflector

2. |
Remove brake master cylinder
|
3. |
Remove brake lines (1) of brake master cylinder on hydraulic
modulator

Unclip brake lines from fastenings on bulkhead and set brake
servo aside
|

4. |
Detach vacuum hose (2) from brake servo, thread through
bulkhead and lay aside
|
5. |
Detach retaining plate (3) for fastening bolt of brake servo
piston rod
• |
Detach brake pedal return spring (5) on brake pedal
|
|
6. |
Release wiring harness plug for pedal sensor (4) and
disconnect
|
|
|
7. |
Remove fastening nuts for brake servo on cover plate and pedal
mounting. Remove brake servo
|
Install
8. |
Insert brake servo on cover plate in the plenum chamber with
new gasket

Attach to pedal mounting with new fastening nuts (arrows) 20 Nm
Note: When inserting,
ensure that the piston rod of the brake servo is seated correctly
in the brake pedal.

Install piston rod with fastening bolt to brake pedal and
secure with retaining plate (1).
|
10. |
Attach brake pedal return spring (3) in brake pedal
|
11. |
Connect wiring harness plug for pedal sensor (2)
|
|
|
12. |
Thread vacuum hose (1) through bulkhead and attach to brake
servo
|
13. |
Install brake master cylinder
|
14. |
Expose brake lines
• |
Clip on to bulkhead and on to hydraulic modulator (2) and
attach brake master cylinder - tightening torque 16 Nm
|
|
15. |
Correct brake fluid reservoir so that it reaches the "MAX"
mark
|
16. |
Bleed brake system and check for leaks
|
17. |
Install water deflector
|
