Remove and install front wheel brake linings (Z 17
DTH engine)
Warning: All brake
linings on axle must be replaced,
Remove
1. |
Detach appropriate front wheel
• |
Unscrew 5x bolt
Note: Mark position in
relation to centre of wheel.

2. |
Detach brake calliper (2)
• |
Detach retaining clip (1)
|
• |
Unscrew 2 x screws (4) and remove brake calliper
|
|
|
|
3. |
Remove brake lining
• |
Remove inner lining from brake calliper
|
• |
Remover outer lining from retaining frame
|
Important: Brake fluid rises in
brake fluid container, if necessary suction with standard suction
bottle.

Push back piston of brake calliper
|
|
4. |
Clean brake calliper and retaining frame around bearing surface
of brake linings, clean screw thread in retaining frame
|
Install
5. |
Install brake lining
• |
Apply special grease to back and slide faces
|
• |
Insert outer lining (1) in retaining frame (2)
Note: Lower wear
indicator (3)
|
• |
Insert inner lining (5) in brake calliper (4)
|
|
|
|
6. |
Attach brake calliper (1)
• |
Coat 2x new bolts (3) with locking compound and tighten ( 27.5 Nm )
|
• |
Attach retaining clip (4)
|
|
|
|
7. |
Attach front wheel
• |
Tighten 5x bolts ( 110 Nm )
Note: Observe
installation position.

8. |
Check brake fluid level and correct if necessary
|
