Brake Pedal with Pedal Support, Remove and Install
(Vehicles with RHD)
Remove

Remove fastening bolt (1) for brake pedal bracket support from
bulkhead
|
3. |
Release brake light switch wiring harness plug (2) and
disconnect

Release wiring harness plug for pedal sensor (5) and
disconnect
|

Detach brake pedal return spring (4) from brake pedal
|
|
4. |
Detach retaining clamp (6) for piston rod fastening pin at
brake pedal and remove fastening pin (3).

5. |
Detach fastening nuts (arrows) for brake pedal at bulkhead and
remove brake pedal with pedal support and bracket.
Note: When replacing
the brake pedal with pedal support, the brake light switch and the
pedal support bracket for the brake pedal must be transferred.

Install

Insert brake pedal with pedal mounting and support for pedal
mounting into fastening bolts on bulkhead and attach with new
fastening nuts (arrows)
Note: Ensure that the
piston rod of the brake servo is seated in the brake pedal.
Tightening torque for pedal mounting to bulkhead 20 Nm .

Secure fastening bolt (2) for brake pedal to piston rod for
brake servo and secure with retaining clip (5)

Attach brake pedal return spring (3) to brake pedal
|

8. |
Fit fastening bolt (6) for brake pedal bracket support to
bulkhead - tightening torque 20 Nm
|
9. |
Connect wiring harness plug (1) to brake light switch
• |
Connect wiring harness plug (4) to pedal sensor
|
