Exhaust manifold with exhaust gas turbocharger - Z 13 DT DOHC diesel engine

The exhaust manifold of the Z 13 DT engine is fitted with a metal ply cylinder head gasket.

Like on the Y 22 DTR engine, the recirculated exhaust gas is led directly from the exhaust manifold through the cylinder head and into the exhaust gas recirculation valve.

So that no components are damaged by heat radiation, the exhaust manifold is fitted with a shield.

The charge pressure is controlled by a "wastegate" unit.

The Z 13 DT engine uses a catalytic converter mounted near the engine. It has a volume of 1.5 litres and is flange-mounted directly onto the exhaust gas turbocharger.
