Oil Cooler/Heat Exchanger, Replace (Z 17 DTH, With
Air Conditioning, LHD)
Remove
Important: On vehicles with ESP -
the steering angle sensor loses its basic adjustment each time the
battery is disconnected. It must be recalibrated

Open bonnet

Drain coolant
• |
Place collecting basin underneath.
|
• |
Open coolant drain bolt
|
|
|
|
4. |
Loosen air intake pipe (1)
|
|
|
5. |
Detach 2x heating hose (1) from heater radiator
|
|
|
6. |
Remove oil filter element
• |
Unscrew oil filter housing cover (1)
|
|
|
|
7. |
Detach return hose of oil filter housing cover (1)
|
|
|
8. |
Detach 2x coolant hose (1)
|
|
|
9. |
Remove oil filter housing
• |
Place collecting basin underneath.
|
|
|
|
10. |
Detach heat exchanger
|
|
|
11. |
Clean sealing surface
|
Install
12. |
Attach heat exchanger
|
13. |
Clean sealing surface
|
14. |
Install oil filter housing
• |
Tighten banjo bolt 110 Nm
|
|
15. |
Attach oil filter housing return hose
|
16. |
Install oil filter element
• |
Tighten oil filter housing cover 25
Nm
|
|
17. |
Attach 2x coolant hose
|
18. |
Attach 2x heater hose
|
19. |
Fasten air intake pipe
|
20. |
Close coolant drain bolt
|
22. |
Check and correct engine oil level
• |
Observe specified engine oil quantity
|
|
25. |
Program volatile memory
|
|
