Oil Filter Housing, Remove and Install
Remove
Important: On vehicles with ESP -
the steering angle sensor loses its basic adjustment each time the
battery is disconnected. It must be recalibrated.

Disconnect battery
|
3. |
Drain coolant
• |
Place collecting basin underneath.
|
|
|
|
4. |
Detach turbocharger charge air hose (3)
• |
Open quick-release fitting
|
|
5. |
Detach heat exchanger coolant pipe (1)
• |
Remove gasket.
Note: Pay attention to
exhaust manifold heat shield (2).
|

6. |
Remove oil feed line (4)
• |
Place collecting basin underneath.
|
|
|
|
7. |
Remove oil filter housing/heat exchanger (1)
• |
Detach lower coolant hose
|
|
|
|
8. |
Cleaning work
• |
Oil filter housing, engine block
|
|
Install
9. |
Install oil filter housing
• |
Connect lower radiator hose
|
|
10. |
Install turbocharger oil feed line
• |
Tighten 2 banjo bolts 15 Nm
|
|
11. |
Attach heat exchanger coolant pipe
|
12. |
Attach turbocharger charge air hose
• |
Close quick-release fitting
|
|
15. |
Check engine oil level, if necessary correct.
• |
Use prescribed quantity of oil
|
|
16. |
Program volatile memory
|
|
