Timing Chain Sliding Rail, Replace

  Remove

1.   Remove timing case
Important:   After the bracket has been removed the accumulator must not be subjected to any external force that would cause damage to the high pressure lines.
2.   Remove the accumulator bracket
•   Detach accumulator from bracket
Unscrew 2 bolts (1)
•   Remove the accumulator bracket
Unscrew 3 bolts (2)
Remove engine transport shackle
Object Number: 8132467  Size: DEFAULT


3.   Release the tension on the hydraulic chain tensioner
•   Secure chain tensioner
•   Use KM-955
4.   Detach timing chain sliding rail (1)
•   Unscrew 2 bolts (2)
Object Number: 2408381  Size: DEFAULT


5.   Cleaning work

  Install

6.   Attach timing chain sliding rail
•   Tighten 2 bolts 9 Nm
7.   Tension hydraulic chain tensioner
•   Remove KM-955
8.   Install accumulator bracket
•   Insert accumulator bracket with engine transport shackle
Tighten 3 bolts 25 Nm
•   Attach accumulator to bracket
Tighten 2x bolts 25 Nm
9.   Attach timing case
