Replace engine damping blocks (both sides) (Z 12 XE, Z 12 XEP, Z 14 XEP, with air conditioning, LHD)

Note:   KM-6394 must be used as of model year 04 instead of KM-6169-1 .

  Remove

3.   Remove ribbed V-belt cover •   Unscrew 3 bolts (1) •   Remove clip (arrow)

4.   Attach KM-6169-2 to transmission •   Tighten 2 bolts 95 Nm

5.   Attach KM-6169 (1) •   Place left of KM-6169 onto front axle body (arrows, illus. I) – Guide pin must be seated in bore in front axle body •   Attach both right holders on the front axle body (arrows, Illus. II). – Guide pin must be seated in bore in front axle body (arrow, Fig. III) •   Tighten 2 bolts

6.   Fit support to KM-6169 •   Adjust bracket (2) for support •   Screw on nut (1) 7.   Adjust supports •   Transmission side – Turn spindles until mounts (3) are positioned at guide journals free of play •   Engine timing side – Insert journal of the support in the bore of the cylinder block without play (arrow) – Tighten nuts (1) 8.   Lower vehicle

9.   Remove air cleaner housing (1) •   Disconnect 2 wiring harness plugs – Hot film mass air flow sensor (3), tank vent valve (2) •   Unclip tank vent valve •   Remove suction pipe (4) – Unscrew 2 nuts – Detach engine vent hose (5) •   For Z 12 XEP, Z 14 XEP: detach air intake hose – Release clamp •   Remove bolt (arrow)

10.   Remove right engine damping block (1) •   Loosen engine bracket adapter – Unscrew 2 bolts (2) •   Unscrew 2 bolts (3) 11.   Install right engine damping block •   Tighten bolts 40 Nm – To side member •   Tighten bolts 60 Nm + 30° + 15° – To right engine bracket

12.   Install air cleaner housing •   Tighten bolt •   Attach suction pipe – Replace seal ring – Tighten 2 nuts •   For Z 12 XEP, Z 14 XEP: attach air intake hose – Tighten clamp 3.5 Nm •   Attach engine vent hose •   Clip in tank vent valve •   Connect 2 wiring harness plugs 13.   Remove transmission bracket •   Loosen left engine damping block – Unscrew 2 bolts (1) •   Unscrew 3 bolts (2) 14.   Remove left engine damping block •   Unscrew 4 bolts

15.   Detach left engine damping block (1) from left engine damping block adapter (2) •   Remove bolt 16.   Attach left engine damping block •   Tighten bolt 80 Nm + 45° + 15° 17.   Install left engine damping block •   Tighten 4 bolts at side member 25 Nm
