Check Oil Pump for Corsa C J Engine - Repair Instructions

Check oil pump

1.   Remove oil pump
2.   Disassemble oil pump
•   Detach oil pump cover (2)
– Unscrew 6 bolts
•   Remove inner and outer rotors
3.   Remove oil pump pressure regulating valve
•   Remove bolt (1)
•   Remove piston spring
4.   Inspect components
•   Oil pump housing, inner rotor, outer rotor, oil pump cover
•   Oil pump pressure regulating valve
– Pistons, springs, pins
Note:   Check for ease of movement.
5.   Check oil pump
Important:   The bevel running around the outside edge of the outer rotor must face the oil pump housing.
•   Insert inner and outer rotor
•   Measure gap
– With straightedge (3), feeler gauge (4)
Note:   The permissible clearance between rotors and oil pump housing upper edge is 0.03 to 0.10 mm
•   Remove inner and outer rotors

6.   Install oil pump pressure regulating valve
•   Replace seal ring
•   Insert piston spring
– Coat with engine oil
•   Tighten bolt 50 Nm
7.   Assemble oil pump
•   Insert inner and outer rotor
Important:   The bevel running around the outside edge of the outer rotor must face the oil pump housing.
– Coat with engine oil
•   Attach oil pump cover
– Tighten 6x bolts 6 Nm
8.   Install oil pump
