Pedal Sensor, Replace (Z 17 DTH, with AC, LHD)

  Remove

1.   Open bonnet
Important:   On vehicles with ESP - the steering angle sensor loses its basic adjustment each time the battery is disconnected. It must be recalibrated
2.   Disconnect battery
•   Detach ground cable
3.   Remove lower inner panelling/instrument panel padding on driver's side
•   Unscrew 2 bolts
•   Remove panelling
4.   Remove lower centre inner panelling/instrument panel padding on driver's side
•   Unscrew 2 bolts
•   Remove panelling
5.   Remove pedal sensor
•   Disconnect wiring harness plug (1)
•   Unscrew 3 nuts (2)

  Install

6.   Install pedal sensor
•   Tighten 3x nuts 9 Nm
•   Connect wiring harness plug
7.   Install lower centre inner panelling/instrument panel padding on driver's side
•   Attach panelling
•   Screw in 2x bolt
8.   Install lower inner panelling/instrument panel padding on driver's side
•   Attach panelling
•   Screw in 2x bolt
9.   Connect battery
10.   Close bonnet
11.   Program volatile memory
