J741000 Hot Film Mass Air Flow Meter, Remove and Install (Z 18 XE, with Air Conditioning, LHD) > < Replace DIS ignition module (Z 12 XE, Z 12 XEP, Z 14 XEP, with air conditioning, LHD)

J795200 Camshaft Sensor, Replace (Z 18 XE with Air Conditioning, LHD)

  Remove

1.   Open bonnet
2.   Remove engine cover.
•   Unscrew oil filler pipe cap
•   Unscrew 2 bolts
•   Screw on oil filler pipe cap
3.   Remove air cleaner housing (1)
•   Disconnect 2 wiring harness plugs
– Hot film mass air flow meter (4), tank vent valve (2)
•   Unclip tank vent valve
•   Detach intake hose
•   Detach engine vent hose (3)
•   Remove bolt (arrow)

4.   Remove upper part of toothed belt cover
•   Unscrew 3 bolts (arrows)
•   Unclip from rear toothed belt cover

5.   Disconnect camshaft sensor wiring harness plug (1)
•   Unclip from bracket
•   Disconnect wiring harness connector.
6.   Remove camshaft sensor (2)
•   Unscrew 2 bolts

  Remove

7.   Clean threads
•   Camshaft sensor to cylinder head
8.   Install camshaft sensor
•   Insert bolts with locking compound
•   Tighten 2x bolts 8 Nm
9.   Connect wiring harness plug from camshaft sensor
•   Clip to bracket
10.   Install upper part of toothed belt cover
•   Clip to rear of toothed belt cover
•   Tighten 3x bolts 4 Nm
11.   Install air cleaner housing
•   Tighten bolt
•   Install suction hose
•   Attach engine vent hose
•   Install air intake pipe
•   Clip in tank vent valve
•   Connect 2 wiring harness plugs
12.   Install engine cover.
•   Unscrew oil filler pipe cap
•   Insert retaining lugs
•   Tighten 2x bolts 8 Nm
•   Screw on oil filler pipe cap
13.   Close bonnet
